The Challenge

The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas wanted a new set of tools to drive additional hotel bookings to the property. They had been sending past guests a monthly email newsletter packed with promotions. The newsletter generated revenue, but the executive team wanted a way to increase direct hotel bookings. They turned to us.

The Solution

We built a promotional engine the Palms could use to build custom games to incorporate into their newsletter. This made the communications far more interactive and exciting, and gave their marketing team a powerful new marketing tool to actually design and deploy their own custom gamified promotions. As a result, gamified promotions were incorporated into their emails to past guests, and rewards like loyalty points and dining offers were given to patrons to redeem during their next visit.

The Result

  • Patrons loved the games: Hotel revenues from the email newsletter jumped by $32,000 per month compared to the previous approach that didn’t utilize our tools.
